Fertility Tests for Women & Men in Visakhapatnam
Planning a family? Hormone tests and semen analysis help couples and fertility specialists understand the next steps.
About fertility tests at SMS Diagnostics
Difficulty conceiving is more common than many people realise, and causes can involve either partner – or both. Laboratory tests are usually the first step in a fertility evaluation, helping doctors assess ovarian reserve, ovulation, hormone balance and sperm health.
SMS Diagnostics, Visakhapatnam offers fertility-related hormone tests and semen analysis for couples referred by gynaecologists, andrologists and fertility clinics. Many of these tests need specific timing, so our team will guide you before your visit.

What does a low AMH mean?
A low AMH suggests a reduced number of eggs remaining in the ovaries. It does not mean pregnancy is impossible – your fertility specialist will explain your options.
Which day should I give blood for fertility hormones?
FSH, LH and estradiol are usually tested on day 2–5 of the cycle, and progesterone around day 21. AMH can be done on any day.
Should both partners be tested?
Yes. Male factors contribute to a significant share of fertility problems, so testing both partners is recommended.
Is semen analysis confidential?
Yes. All samples and reports are handled privately and confidentially.
